Course Description
The AutoCAD Technology diploma program is a two-year (4 semesters) program. After successful completion of the program, the student must spend three months (420 hours) in practical field training in an appropriate industrial firm. This practical field training may be considered as the fifth semester.
The program prepares the trainees for the employment in the field of technical graphical representation. The trainees receive strong foundation in the basis of drafting practices and techniques within the scope of the draftsperson. There will be two fulltime AutoCAD trainers for this program. The trainees must have high school diploma or equivalent in order to enroll in the program.
The program provides knowledge and practical skills in drafting techniques, engineering drawing, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), animation, 2D and 3D drafting, digital mapping are covered. Applications in architecture, civil, petroleum, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering technology are considered. In addition, General Computer Aided Drafting (General CAD), Mechanical Computer Aided Drafting (Mechanical CAD), Architectural Computer Aided Drafting (Architectural CAD), AutoCAD drawing in 2D and 3D, and Civil Computer Aided Drafting (Civil CAD).
